 Bangladesh’s 202-run target in the Pakistan vs Bangladesh 1st Test, Pakistan has tightened its grip on the match and the team is close to victory. 

The fifth day’s play is underway at the Chittagong Stadium, where national team openers Abid Ali and Abdullah Shafiq are on the crease. Yesterday, Abid Ali and Abdullah Shafiq completed their half-centuries and put the team in a strong position. 

On the fourth day of play, Bangladesh started their second innings with 39/4, but Hassan Ali soon bowled brilliantly Bangladesh batsman Mushfiqur Rahim for 16. For Pakistan, Abid Ali and Abdullah Shafiq gave their team a great start in the second innings and both the batsmen completed their half centuries. 

At the end of the fourth day’s play, Abid Ali (56) and Abdullah Shafiq (53) were on the wickets while Pakistan needed another 93 runs to win. It may be recalled that Bangladesh scored 330 in their first innings thanks to the batting of Liton Das and Mushfiqur Rahim, in response to which the Pakistani team was bowled out for 286 in their first innings.
