Various students at Tigard High School in Oregon have left their classrooms because of a video posted on TikTok by a student that contains unusually anti-racial slurs.
The TikTok video, seen by The Focus, shows an student lying in bed explaining the various racial slurs she uses for blacks, Muslims, Asians and Latins.
After the video became a sensation on the web, Tigard High School students chose to leave their classroom to disagree.
The walkout took place on Wednesday, December 1st, as revealed by various neighboring media sources.
In the walkout recordings, students can be seen walking the streets in large gatherings chanting slogans against prejudice.
Secondary school and area officials told NBC they could not comment on whether the student who made the video was nearby.
He said that a sphere of discipline has been used for the episodes, including the talk of contempt.
Some of them told the news networks he was unable to review a student who had been fired for insulting him.
However, he described the video as “terrible and depressing” and added that it “does not indicate what the Tigard-Tualatin School District believes.”
